Having healthy esteem and self awareness is an important factor in shaping the choices and decisions in our lives. But, is not always black and white!
Even with healthy self-esteem we can experience periods where we fluctuate from feeling good about ourselves to feeling not so good. We can have better esteem in one area of our life than in another. This is normal and all very human.
Having good self-awareness affords us the opportunity to implement the actions needed to self-care in times of struggle. The difference with healthy self-esteem and low self-esteem is the ability to believe in those times we are fundamentally a good person deserving of love, respect, ambition and opportunity.
